Size: Standard medals and coins range from 1.75” to 3” in diameter. These are popular for youth sports and corporate awards. Larger medals and coins are available upon request, generally 3 to 5 or larger and are typically used for championships / races and very special recognition.
Thickness: The industry standard is 3mm to 4mm or larger for special requirements.
Weight: Average medals weigh between 40 grams and 80 grams with heavier medals / coins conveying higher prestige.
Material: Zinc alloy is the most popular due to its durability, affordability, and ability to hold intricate 3D details. Other options include brass (premium weight), copper, wood, or acrylic.
Manufacturing: Die-struck stamping is used for simple metal finishes and logos. Die-casting is required for complex, cut-out, or multi-dimensional shapes.
Plating: Choose between shiny/polished or antique finishes. Standard tier platings include Gold, Silver (Nickel), and Bronze (Copper).
